…as party kicks-off campaign tomorrow
Arch. Lola Ashiru was this evening appointed the Chairman, Campaign committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the November 17, bye-election for Ekiti/Isin/Oke-Ero/Irepodun vacant House of Reps seat.
It would be recalled the former occupier of the seat, Hon. Funke Adedoyin died in September, leaving the seat vacant.
The Offa born Ashiru who doubles as the Senatorial Candidate of the APC in Kwara South for the 2019 general elections will be leading the APC campaign train, this much was disclosed by the party in a press statement signed by Kayode Oyin-Zubair.
It reads “Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will on Saturday 10th, November 2018 (tomorrow) flag off its campaign to elect a member to represent Irepodun/Ekiti/Oke-Ero/Isin federal constituency.
“the flag will be led by the honorable minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Abdulraham Abdulrasaq and other party leaders from across the state.
” The candidate of the party in the election, Hon. Raheem Tunji Olawuyi has everything good going for him including his wide network in the area that spanned almost a decade” it added.
Meanwhile, the state chairman of APC, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa this evening at the APC State secretariat in Ilorin while inaugurating the committee enjoined led by all members of the party in the state and its teeming supporters to come out en mass to grace the flag off ceremony and also ensure they come out in their thousands on the election day towards ensuring a landslide victory for the party.
